This lovely tour begins in the Spanish
Village of Villa Franca Del Bierzo on the “French Camino”,
famous for its delicious wine and artisan crafts. We bike
through Gallician farm-yards, along antiquated roman roads
and mature forests down into Samos.
Here we can pass a sunny evening on a café terrace looking
onto a magnificent 800 year old Benedictine monastery. As
we draw closer to the penultimate stop of Leboreiro, the
atmosphere of excitement is palpable as the various routes
from all over Europe merge and walkers and cyclists congregate
for the final journey into Santiago de Compostela. The city
itself is truly beautiful and fitting end to such a wonderful
tour.
