The
wonderful Baroque architecture of Prague and the imposing imperial
palaces of Vienna are well known to most people. What is less
well known is that the Czech Republic has a very well developed
network of wonderful cycle routes on quiet back roads and dedicated
paths linking these two central European cities.
Our Safari starts in the stunning city of Prague before we
take a transfer into the heart of the Czech Republic to begin
our cycling. The tour meanders its way across the provinces
of Bohemia and Moravia towards Austria, through perfectly
preserved medieval towns and villages, many of which are Unesco
World Heritage sites. Highlights include Cesky Crumlov, dominated
by a beautiful castle, and Telc with its wonderfully preserved
medieval town square.
If you should head to Italy and France for the wine without
doubt you should head to the Czech Republic for the beer!
