Nestling under Austria’s southern Alps
and warmed by Italy’s Mediterranean sun, Slovenia is a small
country with a big geography. Slovenian’s are justifiably
proud of their country’s glorious unspoilt scenery and take
great pleasure in welcoming tourists, making them perhaps
the friendliest you will meet.
Overlooked by a medieval castle on the edge
of a pristine lake and surrounded by the Julian Alps in the
town of Bled, the start and finish point for our safari. Initially
we concentrate on the Triglav National Park taking in its
idyllic Alpine villages. We then move on to one of the oldest
settlements in Slovenia, Skofja Loka with its beautiful old
town and fairytale thirteenth century castle. Ljubljana is
our penultimate stop where a wealth of Baroque churches, cobbled
streets, palaces and quaint bridges give the city a miniature
Prague setting before we wind our way back to Bled.

Western Slovenia for you to choose from; click on the name
